What is Reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates is a dynamic, low-impact workout that utilizes a specialized piece of equipment called a Reformer machine to enhance strength, flexibility, core stability and overall body awareness.

This machine features a sliding carriage, springs, and various accessories like ropes and a footbar, allowing for a wide range of exercises. The reformer allows for different body postural types by use of its various adjustable features, meaning the workout can be tailored to you and your goals.

Is Reformer Pilates right for me?

Reformer Pilates is suitable for beginners and people of all fitness/flexibility levels. The beauty of the reformer machine is that it is so adaptable and has so many adjustable features that make the exercise varied, interesting and fun while being tailored to what works for you and what you enjoy. Our aim is to create a safe and comfortable environment in which our clients are able to achieve their goals - whether that be toning up or simply to feel better.

What do I wear?

Our studio maintains that you can attend wearing whatever you feel comfortable in, whether that be leggings, shorts, joggers, baggy t shirts etc. The only non-negotiable is grip socks, which is with your safety in mind. Grip socks provide you with more purchase and stability on the Reformer Machine, and can be purchased from many places online. Please reach out to us via the Contact Form or Instagram DM if you would like some recommendations.

Where are you based?

Our private studio is based at Unit 15 Burscough Wharf, Liverpool Road North, L40 5RZ.

To find the studio, head into the main building of Burscough Wharf, go through the double doors and up one flight of the stairs on your left. The studio is the first door on your left.

Question 5

What is the difference between a Class Pass and a Membership?

Accepted Answer

Class-Passes are one off purchases of 1, 4, or 8 Class credits. They are valid for up to 8 weeks and it is not a rolling subscription so you will not be charged again unless you choose to purchase another pass.

Memberships work out cheaper and are a rolling monthly subscription, meaning your class credits will reset 4 weeks from your purchase date - so you only have 4 weeks to redeem your credits. Members also have access to exclusive benefits such as - 20% your post-Pilates drink at Hugos in Burscough Wharf, 10% off The Reformer Club merchandise, and early access to ticket releases for our wellness events!

*Please note there is a 3-month-minimum sign up commitment for all memberships. After your first 3 months you can cancel or change your membership at any time by getting in touch with us.
